The Acute Therapy and Diversional Activities Service is based at Farnham Road Hospital and provides therapy programmes for inpatients in Magnolia, Mulberry, Juniper and Rowan wards.
The programmes encompass physical, social and creative therapeutic group activities in morning, afternoon, evening and weekend sessions including art, drama, cooking, computer group and gym, pilates and relaxation techniques.
Therapy groups provided include Art Therapy, Drama Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Coping Skills, Emotions and Relationships, Relaxation, Recovery and Pet Therapy. The team also undertake individual assessments and 1:1 activities within the timetable.
We have our own fully equipped gym and an exercise programme can be created specifically tailored to individuals' needs.
All group sessions are recovery-focused and are self-referral.
